“I should first point out that we arranged our informal wedding from the UK by email and telephone. On top of that, we were not entirely certain what we wanted or of the protocol for using a catering service. We spoke directly with Bess Sopper, who was amazingly helpful and proactive. Bess offered great food suggestions, variations on the food types, and her “can do” attitude was delightful. She was incredibly friendly, efficient, and a joy to work with. In one phone call, we had a confirmed menu and a price for our food and service that was, in our opinion, very reasonable. Once we arrived in the U.S. several weeks later, we swung by the deli to introduce ourselves. She instantly knew who we were and what arrangements we had made, which was very reassuring.
On the night of our wedding, our service, was excellent; incredibly efficient and the staff ran rings around a kitchen that they had never seen until minutes before. The staff were consummate professionals and very friendly. They prepared, cooked, and presented the food to perfection. The portions were plentiful, delicious, and the entire presentation was first class!
It is a testament to Bess and her staff that the guests went back for second and third helpings. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was! We cannot praise and recommend Bess and her team highly enough for their excellent service and food, and for contributing to make our special night as memorable as it was. Thank you!”
